Re: Once You Go Bespoke (Shoes), You Won't/Can't Go Back

Am surprised, that most of the people here are supposed that Italy and UK are the "only" acceptable sources for well-made bespoke shoes. (Japan is a different league.)

Due to the fact, that I lived in Vienna for several years and this is the "bridgehead" to the Central- and Eastern Europe area, some can easily find a big number of well trained shoemakers. There's more than Vass and Kielman's.

Regarding to this statement: No matter where your sartorial journey takes you, it's the guys you met early in your path that you never, ever forget.

I will not go back. And if these people are gone, I will make journeys to new places and people.

PS: For me, my bespoke shoes have a soul. Call me crazy, I don't mind.
