These ones, with brown cords, burgundy wool sweater, cream/wine check flanell, a simple shooting jacket ( http://www.cordings.co.uk/firley-herringbone-tweed-field-coat.html )....
...and then a very long walk through a grey and silent empty London, on an ice-cold December 25, through Marylebone, Porchester Place and Pimlico, returning to SW1 at dawn. Game pie and real ale, or some burgundy. A witty conversation with a down-to-earth girl-next-door. Then a short solitary walk home to bed.
Not sure about the shooting jacket but I'm digging the shoes and the rest.
true. maybe a simpler coat - this one?

Again, that's stuff you wear in the country not the metropolis.
Get yerself a frigging overcoat.
Jesus, you'll be wearing wellies next.

...oh, you can still have the pie.
Yeah, scratch it mate. You can look like Immitt.
Get the Grasmere from C&J instead, a better looking shoe IMCO. Also consider the Ranger from Henry Maxwell/Foster & Son.
You now it makes sense Beestonplace!
And yes, definitely scratch that scotchgrain itch!
'Tis the beginning of the season for it!
I have not scrotchen it yet.
Been to C&J last weekend, in my opinion scrotch-grain only looks good in that "Norwegian" apron-style derby. BTW, a model which is very popular in Vienna.
I noticed the abundance of scrotchgrain in Vienna last week, not keen on the Austrian style shoe though, a bit too rugged for my liking. Lacks the finesse of the English equivalent.
I seen some lovely shoos this Saturday by Carmina in SG. Tempted...
The C&J Cardigan 4 keeps calling me.....but now in the roughcut suede, rather than the cordovan. Look great with a pair of flannels.
Ya stratched it yet mate?
Everybody do the scotchgrain itch!
Everybody do the scotchgrain scratch!
(Sing along to "Disco Stomp" - Hamilton Bohannon)
Yep, the scotchgrain itch is definitely worth scratchin'. If anyone hasn't scratched it yet l highly recommend they get down to their shoo store and scratch that muther reeel good man. Make it the mutha of all scratches.
Ludwig Reiter's shoes work best with the BAvarian/Austrian Aristo-casual look - their toe boxes are quite high, maybe that is what he meant
Pls elaborate more on C/J scotchgrain
