Quick question about Oxxford trousers.

l've just noticed that one of my pairs of pants have that split up the middle back of the pants (l forget all the fancy words for it). Does Oxxford do this with regularity? None of my others have this feature. (They are made for braces and are brand new).

l'm just wondering: did my tailor alter them, or were they like that before l gave them to him.

Aren't the back slits usually for endomorphs?

An education about trousers would be a good thing, especially Oxxford trousers.

Re: Quick question about Oxxford trousers.

I dont know what the technical term for this is, but my oxxford pants also had this feature before my tailor altered the waist and neglected to put the feature back in. I think it assists with the fit of the pants as most people's waists fluctuate a small amount in this allows a little more room if you have a large meal. Perhaps, im not particularly sure of the function. Alot of italian makers do this as well and its similar to the high tail cut trousers that english bespoke makers do.
