Do you check German Ebay a lot Patrick ? - I tend to only look on either ebay uk or ebay worldwide - is there a lot of stuff on other regional ebays in the world of Ivy ?
Anyone got any experience of that ?
I think Captain mentioned Poncewear in his own words on the French version.
I've bought plenty high-end footwear on German ebay (plenty circles in Germany admire fine shoes, and there's either a disdain for buying used or the interest is for a few 'famous' makers), and the occasional Keydge or contemporary Brooks can be seen.
Where things get interesting though is outside of the ivy box, once you get to know a certain market and what it can to offer - like mon Capitaine and his frorkwear. For this, ebay can be a rich vein.
with me being from switzerland, i often check ebay germany. but honestly, there isn't a lot of ivy related stuff. as moose said, mostly footwear and the occasional piece of clobber (ie bb, lands end, woolrich...)
I figured if you search using world wide it would bring up all markets, is this not the case? I have occasionally done searches in individual eBay countries but never found it to bring up hidden treasures.
Generally that will only bring up items for which postage is expressly offered to your home country. So a lot of stuff, but not everything in the local markets. FWIW.
Yeah that's what I was getting at that there might be untapped markets on local ebays
Europe is probably main one to consider because you're not going to get hammered with duty etc
Some big bargains - this seller accepts almost any offer:

£62.50 for a 3 Piece Ivy league suit
^
That's a real beaut!
I have seen this one in the flesh, it does have a bit of a sheen to it. It's gorgeous, but I wouldn't wear it. I think if it was longer in the leg and a 44 Lloyd wouldn't be selling it?
^ it's a beautiful suit, seen it in the flesh and it's lovely.
This is also knocking about for a decent price
