Gentlemen, go prepare for Tet offensive MK II....

^ no argument from me about the role of the conservative government in this. They do pay lip service to "control" and have not said they want to 'rub noses in diversity' but their actions, or inactions, tell a different story. Basically they want to take from the 99% and give to their rich cronies. Divide and rule helps in other ways too.

Against the tide of what the book describes, I was in Herne Hill on Saturday. That used to be the "front line" in the Brixton riots - Railton Road etc. Now it is a poor mans Nappy Valley/Wandsworth. White couples with very young children and yuppies. Similar to what has happened in parts of the East End. I suppose they have to go somewhere having been displaced by dodgy foreign money in more traditional areas.

There's nothing better than a greasy spoon brecko after a major ale session...!!!

I find it fascinating when l see humans going to places like the local hamburger joint or fast food restaurants. Many men look rough around the edges, wear sneakers/work boots and often have baseball caps and drink beer out of cans. Many also wear bad clothes. It's interesting how families bring their kids up to become familiar with such places also...cavemen mentality seems to run in families. And then you see seemingly decent women with these cavemen, and l suspect that they are either married or in a romantic relationship with these cavemen, so it makes one think that these women are likely cavemen at heart as well (uncouth).

I wonder when mankind will raise his level and leave those types of things behind.

Avoid mass consumption of lager and beer like the plague. Pace your drinking, one or two before a meal, no more. Half a bottle of wine with the meal, certainly never open a second bottle. One digestive or night cap if desired. Follow those rules and you will never get a hang over.

Use a jigger, not the two finger rule.

Good alcohol can chase out the bad e.g. if you've drank some sulphate saturated acrid table plonk, a good nip of quality brandy before bed time can work wonders. There is a scientific reason for this to do with ethanol types, but I can't remember the reason.

Be wary of too many mixers - you're getting a double whammy of alcohol abuse and sugar rush. You'll wind up with a hangover that no amount of water can cure.

Never interrupt in a drunken boy and girl fight, you'll end up getting bottled by the two of them.
