Not so much a new find, more a new lease of life of an old find - finally got round to altering my London Fog maincoat which was just too long for me to wear (looked too fancy dress below the knee), so had a few inches shortened and bobs your uncle, fits perfectly. Sits at the knee, looks classic without throwing the proportions (not as short as Michael Caine - as Harry Palmer - short, neither). I believe it was The Weejun who talked about shopping your own wardrobe...
^ ooooh nice WM.
Very nice WM.
I'm jealous.
/\ I have that very shirt exactly, birthday present October 1978, bought at 346 Mad Ave
one of my relics
^ nice one H, love the case.

^ T it won't be later than 62/63 with that label, can't be more exact but at least it gives you a 'ballpark'.
That was my thinking mate, going by when they introduced the Russell Athletic name. Think it's pretty cool and looks good nick. Best thing about BR is the returns policy if not right, mind you you have to dig through an incredible amount of chaff to find the wheat.
^ it's cracking T, great colour combo.
BR's returns policy is one of it's better features ( as descriptions and listings isn't a strong point )
Ha, if it doubt, call it 90's seems to be their moto.
/\ what an interesting and unusual zip-neck vintage find Tom

Tom, you might want to post your find and inquire about its background over at these two sites:
http://www.uni-watch.com/
http://boards.sportslogos.net/
Both sites are devoted to American athletic uniforms (kits). There's great respect for the old manufacturers and styles that have disappeared.
Great find Tom! Would look great on the scoot in the Summer, with some white Levis and dessies.
Cheers farrago - I'll check the links out. Agree Harpo, Bob on for summer scooting about town.
Found a great late 50s dark grey dogtooth overcoat in beyond retro. Lapped seams ahoy. Photo to follow...
