Fantastic finds, Yuca and AC. There is hope for Sancho...
Nice shirt AC. The same shirt is on my wish list.
Thanks Guys it is a lovely shirt ,the reason i initially hesitated is i have an aversion to writing on the label.
Bohorad? Sounds like an Etsy shop. Money well spent there.
No it's that namebrandblazersandsuits fellow on eBay who stocks thousands of vintage sport coats, all incorrectly sized.
Every few weeks I check out his shop and plug a search incl description for "1950 17.5" (shoulder size - since I can't trust his listing) and "1960 17.5" to see what it turns up. I recommend all others do the same with their respective shoulder sizes as it's yielded some real bargains. The average cost of a sport coat is usually around $29.99 but he accepts all offers. I went with $17 on the above $30 asking and he took the bait within 5 mins. I usually aim for approx. 55% of the asking (which is already pretty low) but I'm gonna go even lower the next time around to see whether it works out. I've bought at least ten jackets from this guy in the past 2 years (some have been resold for profit locally) and I've yet to receive a counter-offer from him. Again, he's dealing in thousands of vtg items and doesn't distinguish by style or cultural niche so it's really great for guys like us.
Beautiful trousers! I'd say the slight slant a mere quibble on such a fine vintage Ivy score. I hope they work for you. Are they NOS? They look it.
If I had such a fine pair of trousers I sure as hell wouldn't be moaning about the pockets.
They look ok to me AC.
/\ Ollie and Tommy, great new old sport coats, congrats, and AC those pockets on your Corbin trousers should not be dealbreakers, make them work for you!
^ Oli,
get you hunting antenna out as Brooks did a matching 'kilt' jacket (a short cut, high gorge 3 button blazer ) to go with those bermudas.
I've seen one in that exact fabric in a Berlin vintage store.
Wow, that'd be dead cool although I don't think I could ever bring myself to wear shorts + sport coat together (potential albeit unlikely exception with black Yumas to the Mai-Kai on a sweltering afternoon though it sounds decidedly unhip) but I was thinking what a cool pattern that'd make for a summer sack!
