A Troll Retires

after years of trolling across all the mens's clothing message boards, i wish to announce my retirement, and those of my legion sockpuppets, effective 1 december.  it has been a good run, but it's time my game be laid to rest. it may be surprising on some message boards which distinguished posters begin to stop posting on that date.

much love to all
xoxo

Gomie

Just heard from Gomie & it's true.

A sad moment.

We must all eulogise him on St. Andrew's Day.

Re: A Troll Retires

I suppose it all comes down to what is a troll?

When we were supporting 'Arry were we trolling or was it only when we started to make fun of the whole thing that you could call us trolls?

Both being for & against 'Trad' were equally ironic positions on our behalf.

'Russell' I think started with 'Trad Dry Cleaning' or 'Trad Untucked' on AAAC (pre-AAAT) in mid-Feb of '06 I think. Tho' the name was put in place a while before - Dec '05? (not sure). By mid-May of '06 Russell was all over & 'Miles Away' kicked in over here. It was all far more short-lived than people remember. During his reign of 'swamping' AAAC AAAT came into being...

Gomez was there with us from way back, long before all this 'Trad' silliness, and has been a never ending source of fun in all that time. Sad to see him move on.

I'm going from memory, but the above dates should be about right.

j.

Re: A Troll Retires

yes nephew we were there before 'Arry Shatner came along and jizzed into Alexander Gilchrist's  soup and spawned his minions of treddies. but we helped, didn't we?  to push the analogy a bit further we were the snapping oyster like in that stew of curly's. we voted early and often, and our proud legacy will outlive us. hurrah!
