I've been reading Noel Coward's diaries and in Rome in 1965 he gets to meet The Beatles, after being invited back to the hotel after the concert by Epstein, "the lads" snubbed Coward and after some persuasion Macca came out to see him. Quite poor manners really by the rest of the band.
