What's On Your Sartorial Wish List?

I have denim on my mind and at the top of my wish list is a pair of bespoke jeans from Mimmo Siviglia and, closer to home and to my pocketbook, a pair of vintage Levis.  Hard to find authentic vintage Levis and even if I do find them, I'm not sure I want to wear jeans worn by someone else.

Re: What's On Your Sartorial Wish List?

After moving my fall clothes to the front of the closet, I realize I have more custom suits, shirts & shoes to last a lifetimw, that is, my lifetime.

However, I would like to add another shearling coat to my wardrobe. Does anyone have any suggestions for a  bespoke shearling and a NYC maker.

Thanks,

Joel

I'm considering a pair of Dior Homme jeans. I must say, the formalism of the cut appeals to me.

Re: What's On Your Sartorial Wish List?

My current sartorial wish list consists of several chalkstripe suits from Ginza Tailor, along with a midnight blue velvet jacket, a variety of tweed jackets, and more shirts.

Everything for the next suit has been chosen. The fabric is a Barbera dark navy with pale blue chalkstripes, and the lining will match the fabric almost exactly, with the interior trim details in blue silk with white design details and navy lacquer buttons.

Against all odds, I am now largely satisfied with my collection of shoes and watches.

Camel hair sportcoat -- not sure yet about button choice to go for the blazer or sportcoat look
Another tweed sportcoat or two
A Christmas waistcoat -- too late to get it for this year, I think, but maybe for next
Some new shoes -- plain black captoes; two pair of split-toe bluchers (one black; one tan/whiskey or some such shade -- might consider suede in the latter)
More prosaically, I need some new BDs. Was thinking of trying Mercer if I can tolerate the disembodied ordering process sad

Canadienne look-a-like jacket.
Some heavy Paraboot shoes in one of the less obvious styles.
More cord jeans.
More Hartford soft-collar BDs in various stripes.

Those Dinklelacker Budapesters look great.  Def something I would consider too, as I love my Vass budapesters.

for me, I've been thinking of getting a watch from Jorg Schauer (of Stowa).  Gonna check them out in real life at an upcoming roadshow for watchbuys.com

I know that I am going to order a new suit around year-end, and I am thinking about doing a blue mohair.  I guess my wish would be that I could figure out exactly what I wanted rather than changing my mind each day.
