Mr.Grayson - I have got to agree with you -It doesn`t help that the length seems a little off to my eye.
Somehow -the penny loafers seem to have taken on the appearance- of slippers in that particular photograph- they just don`t seem to be -I don`t know- chunky or robust enough to be worn with denim- yet I have worn some waxy leather brown Sebagos with levi 505`s and hugo boss orange label HB1`s and been pleased with the effect.
(Fucking hell-steady on cheeky- that was nearly some meaningful discussion -about clothing matters- It must be later than I thought.)
Horace - maybe you have hit the nail on the head-the jeans are either not long enough or not short enough-they are at a height which is a compromise between the 2- and as most peole know- a compromise is neither one thing or the other and the end result is unsatisfactory.
I feel like this about most of my dealings with people you know- I am not good at compromising-I would personally either give in gracefully about something I disagree with and let the other person have their own way-or If it is something I strongly believe in-give no quarter untill I get my own way fully- hell for Mrs. Monkey I know.
Not to mention jean shorts, on someone other than Daisy Duke or similar.

Leave it to Brooks Brothers to turn jeans into slacks.
They remind me of Dockers jeans, and they look terrible with those loafers. I can't stand slacks-type jeans. I'd rather wear Wranglers than these.
I guess I don't think them that bad. Though I just realized that I must be getting fat because I went to put on one of my most expensive bespoke suits that I hadn't worn in probably a year, and it didn't fit right. Back to the ol' gymnasium for me. Either that or I'll have to invest in the ol' M1 Bills.
I wouldn't trust any company that makes conservative business clothing to do jeans--and that does include things like Zegna jeans or Borelli jeans.
Those are the sorts of items that middle-aged corporate types wear with a tucked-in polo shirt from Faconnable and maybe a pair of ugly Tod's, topped off by some Rolex.

those would look charming with a sequined rodeo shirt. Bespoke of course, rawr.
The belt is wrong too...
