BOTTLENECK & OPEN BOTTLENECK NECKTIES W/ TIE POCKETS FROM ERIC GLENNIE

Good Morning Gentlemen!  I wanted to show the forum a twist on a traditional necktie.  Please tell me what you think.  I have about 20 new tie designs on my website www.ericglennie.com and click on tie pockets.  Thanks again.  Eric

I like the idea of the hidden tie loop, and the cut-out collar reminds me of a tab collar look. The rear bar collar looks like a priest put his shirt on backwards.

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

Perhaps you could design a cargo tie.

l'm kinda liking 60% of what l see. Bravo Eric! You are indeed an innovator sir. You see with your eyes where other men fail to see.

Are you an eccentric genious Eric? Oh yeah: the skinning dipping, the prison (lol), the designs and your outstanding mind....of course you are. smile

Take it far Eric. Take it very very far.

Re: BOTTLENECK & OPEN BOTTLENECK NECKTIES W/ TIE POCKETS FROM ERIC GLENNIE

Eric,

I have never bought into the fashion industry and don't make my purchases based on their pitches, but many people do. The tailor where I have my suits made does not even advertise, but their products and presentation are absolutely world-class. (See my front page articles.)

As Shoey mentions, presentation counts for a lot. It's the reason most of us are interested in elements of style to begin with. The way we present ourselves has a definite impact, however imprecisely measurable it may be. The way you present yourself and your designs could be the difference between success and failure.

Why not learn web design yourself as part of your total creative process? Get yourself the Macromedia Suite of web design software and learn to become proficient in programs like Dreamweaver and Flash. Then you could do yourself for hundreds of dollars and a good bit of elbow grease what it would cost you thousands to pay others to do. The amount of time, effort and money you're willing to put into this is a measure of your commitment.

I think the things that can make or break you in this game are your ability to sustain your inspiration to come up with viable new ideas that capture people's interest and your ability to market yourself and your ideas in a way that shows people that you're both serious and good at what you do. If you want people in the industry to take you seriously, you need to approach your presentation online with the seriousness of a professional.
