Thanks, Cruz, for sharing. Beautiful trousers (and great shoes) and the fit is very flattering. Is the material considered denim? I believe fustagno is a linen/cotton blend. Interesting observation regarding the nearly invisible hand-stitching, which I've learned is really the proper approach...understated, unlike like the vanity stitching on other garments that can be seen a mile away. Also, far more difficult to execute requiring exacting abilities. Enjoy them!

Since I cannot make it to Rome any time soon, I wonder if Sig. Siviglia can make me up a pair of trousers using my shirt measurements.

I believe fustagno is the Italian word for brushed (100%) cotton twill. I'd venture to say that what distinguishes denim from fustagno is that denim uses a natural color weft and stiffer yarns and the cloth isn't brushed. Perhaps other forumers can shed light on this?
I wanted to get some trousers made of a mid blue denim cloth (the reverse side was lighter because of the weft) but supply was low at the time but I'll keep an eye out for it. Marc, I think that's the denim cloth you saw.
The shirt is from Mimmo as well, the cloth is a relatively hefty (235 g/meter) Bonfanti "Berna" Oxford.
The shoes are from Kielman, I've been wearing these for about 4 years quite frequently. With little care they've been getting better with age. On second thought, as the pic reveals, they could benefit from new (heel) top pieces!
