--> Vans Vault OG Era did not work and were returned, different fit from my other pair of Eras, which were great ...
moral of the story with sneakers these days: you have to try every pair, you can't rely on consistent sizing at all, and not every pair of the same style is created equal
That's a pretty shoe stanshall.
I kept trying to remember what trainers I had 1985ish, the internet tells me they were Internationalists. I used to wear them with a matching yellow pullover
Thread inspired me to get some waterproof trail running boots for the winter. They're every bit as hideous as anything in this thread and may even be cool in thirty years or so

/\ Moose, those Hokas are not going to be everyone's cup of tea though you know this already but respect for the fearlessness, and enjoy them!
I have just bought a pair of New Balance 997 heritage, made in USA in a burgundy/Grey colourway. They only cost me £50 from TKMAXX. A bargain as I have been looking for a pair of trainers for walking. Took them for a 12 mile spin today and they were as comfortable as I knew they would be. I always have to size up for NB's. I am a UK 10 in desert boots but a 11 1/2 NB walking or 12 NB running.
Can anyone recommend a gore tex or waterproof runnig shoe..the only ones ive found are terrifying
Inov-8 do a couple of GTX models (at least one shoe and one boot) in all black. Probably best of the bunch.
/\ fair enough, no worries, those high-top Puma Baskets with Gore-Tex lining, I'm not personally advocating them, just featuring them because the Gore-Tex is new and different, Bop was asking about Gore-Tex sneakers, that's why I posted them .........
high-top Baskets were around in '74-'75 but it seems they were never that popular ....
