Understood.
FNB, you are really a high roller.
I am quite impulsive and impatient - when I had my shirts made I could not wait unril they finally arrived. Today it is bulk buying in H&K biannual sale, they are fine and dont require the slightest alterations.
Aye, why wait when you can have it all now?
Other than Mercer & Sons made-to-order, I've had only one bespoke shirt made with all the measurements and fitting, well, what can I say, no real difference to an off-the-rack shirt.
That's true, as a tailor said to me: "Your straight up and down....easy!"
From that I deduced I have the perfect body for ready to wear jackets, suits and shirts.
Very fortunate, you are.
Reasons for getting clothes made:
1. You're a shape that RTW doesn't fit well.
2. You have some control over design elements. For example, I don't like plackets on shirts, therefore my shirts have no placket.
3. You have access to a far bigger range of cloths and combined with Point 2 allows even greater scope for you to be creative.
4. Because you damn-well please.
5. It allows you to annoy the likes of Bopsta.
Point 5 is by far, the most satisfactory.
I've actually quit putting plackets on my shirts lately as well.
Less is more...!!!!
True - placket under fine merino sweater looks awful ,
Yes, very Harvie & Hudson 1990ies
