Love the quilt Conne- I have had a couple of John Partridge-jackets in the past and there pretty hardwearing- good choice-a little more refined than the Barbour quilt.
Like the cardie as well-kind of reminiscent of The stuff Bob Newheart wore in- that series where he ran a hotel
Black chelseas, H&M dark jeans, old black belt, light pink shirt with navy silk neckerchief almost hidden, plain stainless cufflinks, Black Watch tartan sports jacket, charcoal overcoat, same ratty brown paisley scarf as most days. Felt like the pink/Black watch combination today.
Brooks Sack Navy Blazer--Upper Patch pocket, Patch and Flap Lower, Horn Buttons
Pink Slim Fit Brooks Oxford
Brooks University Tie (3"), #1 Stripe (Burgundy, Navy, Gold)
Old PRL British Khaki Chinos that are slim
Brown Brooks Belt with Engine Turned Buckle
Saddle Oxfords
Why? Classic Campus Style

Cordo coloured Penny Weejuns & Press woven belt. They don't match.
Olive LL Bean Cords. Flat-front. Cuffs!
White Sero 'The Purist' OCBD. Lovely roll!
Usual White T beneath...
Those Burligton Arglyes again...
Oxford Grey sleeveless V neck - Westaway & Westaway from '91 I think. A much lower V (but not too low) than this pic:

In fact it looks more like this:

Just ordered a couple of these - Any other fans of this style?
Jack,
Count me in as a fan. I wear the Bean Lambswool Vests primarily, though I did buy a nice yellow one from Brooks this season. Do you stick to plain colors only or do you venture out into argyles or stripes?
Archie
It be cold today: flannel boxers, black wool socks, black Bass weejuns, old frayed Brooks cords in olive, old blue Brooks oxford cloth, new Brooks shetland in dark green.
^ Wise words.
You always have to know how much is enough.

Beautiful classic tweed jacket. I had been looking for that cloth to no avail and gave up. Looks like Harris tweed but it's not in the current Harris collection.
Black chelsea boots, bordeaux socks, tobacco gabardine trousers (bottom half of suit - slim, flat front, no turnups), extremely fitted H&M beige shirt, new black C&A cardie (very thin and close fitting indeed), vintage TM Lewin Gurkha Rifles tie (about 2" wide), my old 80s beige Harrington, brown paisley scarf. Trying to keep it all pared down and skinny today.
Hi all
today i'm wearing nothing but a smile
from top:
a Blue, white,Yellow and light green thin striped Button Down shirt
a Lime Green John Smedley
a Black belt
Blue Levi's 501 (with small turn ups)
Black socks with Green Piping
and Black Loakes Brogues
with a Black Mac
why: i'm going for a smart but casual look and it raining

Tan suede chukkas, plain dark jeans, dark red cashmere polo-neck, Black Watch tartan sports jacket.
The overall effect I wish to convey is that I have just padded down from my Swiss chalet for the morning to see how my pals at work are doing.
I have been listening to a lot of Perry Como recently.
`tis that time of year for sure-with much nostalgia, festivities-and peace unto all men.
