Fine. Candy stripe? Looks more like a butcher stripe to me.

Plain navy or a polka dot tie could also work well.

I would sport that ensemble.

Because T&As shirts are really nice, surprisingly they fit my weird body perfectly without any alterations, I like all of their "Classic Range" patterns, the 3 button cuff is iconic, I am near their shop quite often when travelling. Whats not to like?

My experience in bespoke shirts was a bit average and certainly no better than an off the rack shirt. There's an in-shirt maker here and a few of my acquaintances go there and the shirts look a bit too tight for my liking. They've also gone for really boring white shirts. I would only consider bespoke shirting if there was a particular rare cloth I was after. Other than that, T&A has it all going on.

otr lacks so much colour and excitement, and the fit never works for me. I will be going back to bespoke again. ort is far too limiting for me.

This one is nice - it goes well with navy suits, and it is traditional and special at the same time. Almost "regal", very Washington-ish. Reminds me of Oval Office and Sam the Eagle from The Muppets Show.

Challenging. Reminds me of 1970ies Monthy Python and sideburns, and the leather-cum-plastic seats of the SII XJ6. And overheated flats. Needs a very plain and strong tie such as this one to tame it:

End-on-end is nice, and it makes Lilac more pale. Back in the days I had breakfast at the In and Out, overlooking the square. This shirt captures the spring mood, the blossoms in the square. It also makes me think of that weird 1970ies Jaguar colour, primrose yellow. For me the quintessetial spring colour for a vintage car.

It needs a white-on-navy Hermes tie with whimsical rather than geometric patterns, so birds, dragonflies etc.

Lilac shirt with white-on-blue tie is like a spring breeze.


All these are not in-your-face-getting-noticed, but getting-noticed-at-third-glance. Which I like.

well if you want day glo green butcher stripes with a 3M reflective overcheck then bespoke is the only option

My new shirts have arrived.

One fine bengal in white/blue, double cuff; and one gingham royal blue/white, 3 button cuff. And, to really rock it, a white/purple bengal with double cuffs.

Caveat: On their website, T&As colours can come out brighter and stronger than they really are. The royal blue of the gingham one is more like a navy, so the shirt is quite dark and not so much suitable for a business like dress. The purple one looks almost brownish and will be returned.

Other than that, their stuff is just nice; this is how shirts used to be in the old days.

Oh how I love T&A.

The top button is a bit smaller than the other ones on the front. That makes it easier to fasten it.

All in all, their 3 button cuff shirts have a certain nonchalance, that both "regular" button cuffs and cheap TML/CT shirts dont have.
