excellent shots Sidewinder, thanks for posting them, 1946 was a great year for style in and around Hanover, New Hampshire, going by these pics ....
the clothes and looks are more idiosyncratic and less rule-bound than the classic campus rule-bound Ivy of six or seven years later, with a fresh out of the army and military carryover style very evident, these guys were about to define the Rugged Ivy look with their inspired combination of North American outdoors woodsman shirts, blue jeans, climbing clothes, skiwear, army boots, hiking boots, khaki trousers, CPO shirts, and rucksacks ......
plus the various engineer's caps and other vintage caps to truly satisfy Thee Captain's (Casey) Jones
