That's a lovely tweed Sancho.  I'd be proud to own it too.  ...And the shirt.

Proper East Coast outdoor/hunting gear. Therefore part of the Ivy/preppy canon. Nice find!

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Wear it in good health, AC.
It might be ticket you need to the world of the woollen over shirt.

Personally I don't dig "padded shirts". It's looks like it has nylon quilting? Very 90s grunge. As as far this Beaner, the contrast nylon inner collar puts me off too. Cheapens the look of the shirt.

Got my eye on a Fidelity CPO shirt 70% melton wool, to add to my overshirt arsenal.

I like it, AC.  It will be a comfy shirt.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

The above shirts were discussed on here several years ago. Apparently they were made in the same factory as Brooks Makers. I owned one once and it was indeed of a similar quality to a Makers, albeit a bit slimmer. On mine the sleeves were a tad short compared to a Makers in the same size so I ended up selling it, however I don't know if that is a common trait of these shirts. The quality of mine was superb, and the above looks to be along similar lines.

some sort of banal legitimacy
