How shabby should a suit become? Yes, old money and so on, but we are talking about an oily sheen.
Opinions?
Call it post modern sharkskin
Bin it. Standards and all that Beester.
Done!
And bought 2 suits from Harvie & Hudson, navy blue, 2 button, lightweight fabric, quite standard style, ok-ish fabric. They will be abused in air and rail travel and binned in 3-4 year.
Definitely not "modern". Slightly more boxy/roomy, butt covered by jacket, traditional lapel width. Not worth more than the 300pounds I paid in sale. But exactly what I need for the job.
The ones from cordings/pakeman catto carter feel more "substantial" and "traditional" and "robust". H&Hs have belt loops and zip front, Cordings have button front and side tabs.
Friends, please feel free to laught at me but the suits are just right for their job. Slightly loose fit, comfortable, neutral, like a canvas.
