What's all this talk of Incontinence pants pants?
Woolster, Leelo, Coolidge, Berkenstock... y'all keep the lid on around here. Great stuff!
stan, I missed your comment about Henry Miller... Hilarious stuff haha...
Today it finally hit the temperatures I like. I slapped some Wigwam 625s on the dogs (I have never said "dogs" for feet before and never will again), and then burgundy Florsheim penny loafers. I wore some beautiful brown LL Bean wide-wale corduroys, they're the one pair of pleated trousers I own. I bought them for $19 off the clearance rack in Freeport, they're wonderfully baggy... On top, a blue v-neck sweater over a tattersall Viyella...
My other Bean cords in stone are being cuffed by myself at the moment, once they get back in the rotation these brown ones are going to get hemmed a little higher (not by me... my hemming by hand with cuffs is passable, where the stitches get hidden)...
For some reason, I got the J. Peterman catalog in the mail the other day (I have never bought from J. Peterman)... I noticed they're selling 4-wale cords. Seems more like just pants with speed bumps than real corduroys.
Crumb catchers.
Today: temps below 50 call for more drastic measures. Pink PRL button-down under a baggy LL Bean Norwegian sweater (made in Norway, but of course), Brooks Brothers chinos (a slimmer cut than usual, with no cuffs), Wigwam 625s and blucher mocs. All dressed up to eat buffalo chicken and waffle fries around 34th Street.
Wow, what's that tie?
It's a Roosterknit - have a blue/grey version too but it's harder to match to jackets and ties, this one is a very versatile little number.
Lovely stuff Tom.
That's a handsome Fog, B_B. Anglo Ivy also looking cool, Steve McQueen would approve of this look.
