well the Canes were not able to pull off the unbeaten season and after an 10-0 start lost to Pitt in the cold and got clobbered by defending national champ Clemson but 10-2 is very good and it earned them an Orange Bowl appearance against Wisonsin so well done guys, there are some monsters coming onto the team so happy days are here again!
Army-Navy was fun to watch
Between kneeling, prancing, commercials, and general idiocy, the entire NFL experience is getting so irritating I can barely stand to watch. The only way I'd pay close attention is if I had money on it. And I don't.
/\ it's true that this has been a real downer of a year for pro football but I can still watch a game without experiencing Ludovico Technique effects
unnecessary roughness, overly vicious hits, and commercials are the things that bother me, though, not the protests, which I support .....
the prancing and general idiocy I evaluate on a case-by-case basis
*ahem*
ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!
That is all.
that was a hell of a pass on the final play, it can't be denied
The universe is back in balance.
we needed college football today and college football delivered ... beautiful turnover-fueled second-half home comeback for the Miami Hurricanes 28-27 squeaker over arch-rival Florida State Seminoles, first Miami home win against FSU in 14 years
also, #22 Florida Gators in classic SEC action upsetting the #5 LSU Tigers 27-19 in front of 90,000 at the Swamp in Gainesville ....
amazing Hurricanes win ... watched on TV with nachos, grilled hot dog, Mexican Coke ....
can't stop watching today and am so glad that the California and Stanford games will be going on all night to help put this day to bed
mixed results this weekend with the previously ranked Miami Hurricanes not getting it together in time and falling at Virginia, final score 16-13, people very upset at the local 60+-year-old pizzeria when I went in to pick up my orders ..... last year it was bombs away in the sunshine in Miami, this year the Virginia defense was too much for Miami's freshman QB who got benched early, the team just got rocked back on its heels too often, the home crowd was into it, and Virginia came up with the plays they needed to make .....
on the pro side the Dolphins won a wild one in overtime at home against the Chicago Bears 31-28, gangling backup QB had a stellar day, threw for 380 yards and three TDs, offensive Smurfs sped around the field for some long scores, key interceptions were made in the red zone, the eternal Frank Gore, a guaranteed first-ballot future Hall of Famer, notched a 100-yard game with some tough running in the heat, there was a heartbreaker of an OT fumble at the Bears one-yard-line on third-and-goal, and ultimately the Fins won with a 47-yard field goal after the Bears kicker, a former Dolphin, missed a 53-yard attempt. This was entertainment. The refs were awful by the way.
NFL pro football, Week 14, one of the greatest miracle plays of all time. Last play of the game, seven seconds on the clock, 69 yards to go.
