Stephan Haroutounian and the melancholy of London's suburbs
Picking up the theme from this wonderful thread:

I am looking for suit- and shirtmakers in quiet, melancholic, smalltownish London suburbs, like Stephan Haroutounian in Fulham. I would also be interested in "off-Row" tailors, as long as they are a bit dusty and old school.
Ideas?

I don’t use shirtmakers or bespoke tailors. So I cannot advise on quality of their wares.
However, in the Grays Inn Road there is a dusty tailors that has been there for years C Antoniou
I like the fact that it is there still. Right next to The Calthorpe Arms - which is a place I have used many times.
Similarly W G Childs http://www.childandsons.co.uk
On Wandsworth Road. Dusty. I have not used this one either. Handy for various Young’s pubs.

I like the first search item for C. Antoniou. In the photo there is a bicycle propped up outside the shop. Scroll left and there is a cafe with some builders in hi vis sat outside. Further left is The Calthorpe Arms. Across the road is a row of what used to be called Boris bikes.

The people to ask are Acorn Fabrics because they probably supply whatever shirt-makers there are left in the UK with cut lengths.
