I like those Sugar Cane jeans. Not too tight, not too baggy.
Do they shrink-to-fit like the old Levis? I recall that the old Levis would always sort of "give" again, and you'd have to shrink again. Don't know if that's the case with these. But I found that sizing up too much on the waist, to account for the shrink-to-fitness, was a doomed effort if you wanted them to fit well.
This might be inane to those on the leading edge of jeans, but after experimenting with a wide variety of brands of jeans in recent months, turns out my faves, in terms of fit, workmanship, and value, are Carhartt, LL Bean, and the Levis/Lee/Wrangler trio.

I`ve mentioned elsewhere here-that I have recently moved from exclusively wearing levi 505`s-to wearing Hugo Boss -HB 1`s.
I had thought I had found the perfect fit with the Levis- but am much happier with the Boss fit-perhaps influenced by a lady of my aquaintance remarking to me- when I first wore the boss jeans to my local-gosh those Jeans make your cock look big-which I found quite pleasing .
Obviously another men are from Mars -women are from Venus moments.
She-Does my bum look big in these jeans - prefered answer no.
He-Does my cock look big in these jeans-prefered answer yes.
And so the world turns.
Beretta also sells an interesting jean, which, at $75, is dowonright "reasonable"...

Ultimately, though, the reason Levis 501s have been so popular with the masses for so many years, and widely copied by other jeans manufacturers, is those sons of bitches fit like nothing else.

I'm a 36 inch inseam. So it's 40 inch inseam shrink to fit 501s for me. The expensive jeans offered by retailers specialing in Tall sizes fit like Dockers (too loose).
Stumbled upon Barney's website and, after reading all the commotion about APC jeans from the kids on SF, checked out the APC jeans Barney's is selling. After seeing what I saw, below, I have to wonder how APC sells even one pair of jeans, and to whom...

I owned a pair of raw indigo APCs and got rid of them after about a year of wear. The denim stretched, lost its shape, and developed holes in the crotch area much more rapidly than other jeans I've owned (Levis Vintage, Iron Heart, Nudie). I think I'll never buy APC again.
