I don't think there's anything haphazard about it at all; looks like he has fun with his clothes (a person with no interest in clothing would not own shoes like those in the third picture), and likes his jackets a bit roomier - probably wears them for the handy pockets more than to show off shirt-cuffs. He certainly isn't dressing to impress anyone.
