You're probably looking at over GBP150 for good boots anyhow, so disregarding actually getting them to the UK ( ) the Danners don't look such a bad deal - and look better than most.
I still have my La Robusta boots from 1982. These things just don't die.
Most walkers will have moved on to newer equipment, maybe you can find a used pair and have them 'revibrammed'.
Probably doesn't give you the support you're looking for but I just wear Quoddy Tracker Boots for any kind of rough outdoor activities, hiking, etc.
