Today it's the tan suede chukkas with yellow socks, hospital green pressed chinos, brown belt, fitted short-sleeved white pilot shirt, skinny midnight green cardie (no pockets). Charcoal overcoat on the way to work. Just fancied giving the pilot shirt a quick spin today 
; as a kid the were about the only shirts I wore.

Had to deliberately dress down today because l was hanging out with some aussie rock royalty (some of my hero's) today/tonight, so l had to look bad.
* Old faded blue jeans
* Old white t-shirt
* Black R.M.Williams bluchers (Simpson model).
* Unshaven face
They looked far grubbier than me.

The plainest of plain black lace-ups, burgundy socks, dark brown chinos, dark brown belt, white/grey striped shirt + lilac silk knots, almost black cord jacket (top half of suit).
I felt like looking vaguely respectable and boring today, and breaking the shoes-should-match-the-belt rule.

Suede chukkas, navy kilt hose, flat-fronted cuffed POW checked slacks, navy poloshirt with white stripe on collar (untucked), black merino cardie. Walk to and from work: navy cord jeans jacket w. checked flannel lining, paisley scarf.
Like a dated but refined version of the 'jeans, trainers and hoodie' look, perhaps?
Crys out for a sporty flat cap, Hef-style pipe, and a 1968 E-Type.
