I like them in the summer especially, particularly in fine stripes, light fabrics, and unlined collars and cuffs ... wear them reasonably often ... collar must be soft, never use stays ....

I wrote this in another thread recently but I'll repeat it here - I like sack suits and bd collars best, but I have a few point collars I really like, and I enjoy sometimes pairing a point collar and foulard shirt with a pure Ivy sack suit, and sometimes pairing an OCBD and repp tie with a darted suit (yes, I have one, a gray pinstripe natural-shoulder H. Freeman from the '80s)... The sack suit softens the point collar, and the button-down softens the darted suit... I don't do it all the time but it's fun...

I generally hate the obscene spread collars that seem to have replaced normal point collars as the new normal, so when something more serious than a fluid button-down is needed, it's the point collar.  Because I only have one tab collar shirt and one rounded collar otherwise.
I had to look up an image of the Tuck, who is the only person of interest on Fox News.  He does do the straight point collar well, which presumably is necessary for his position of network star.  The boyish BD would not do.
