They do them in that #8 colour and black in cordovan and a light coloured snuff suede in a shop in town here (Oslo). All great. I've got some longwings in black, maybe the 8s would be a more sensible purchase at this time of year. Wicked colour. The suede ones look ace though...what to do...
@BB - can’t go wrong with a grey suit really can you?
I’m shy of horizontal and diagonal stripes myself, but it works for me with that tie because its mainly solid. It would also work well with a plain blue or white shirt.
I must be less conservative.

^ It's rainy and muddy today so I broke them out for the debut. Very comfortable.
Now that I look at them I think you're right. I thought the 2.0 had something to do with magic padding in the soles or something
are they partially pebble grain and partially smooth? Dainite soles are cool, I have them on a pair of decades-old French all-weather plain-toes, they're tough
good rubber soles look alright with sport coat and trousers, sweaters, jeans, cords ....
Leer - good to see you drop by.. I check all your blog updates ... always something cool going on over there.
Walker - nice 60/40 matching .. they are such great wearable jackets and it's good to have a selection of colours to choose from.
BB - thanks for the weekend account, you are easing into the tweedy academic role nicely I can tell.
wore the Ivy today, I only wear Ivy, otherwise I'm basically wearing Incontinence pants shorts, cotton tees, flips, or sneakers, but today was a bit more serious:
L.L. Bean white/blue block stripe ocbd USA; O'Connell's flat olive poplins USA, cuffed; Leather Man lobster buoys grosgrain/webbing belt (Maine); Bean blucher mocs own vintage with Maine resole
back home now, changed into navy cotton zip-pocket Incontinence pants basketball shorts and white cotton graphic t-shirt out of the parking lot at the Los Angeles Sports Arena 12-8-93 I think ... no shoes ... going for a walk on the beach, maybe I'll bring a straw hat so my nose doesn't get burned ... a Jack Straw hat .....

Livin' the dream in so many ways, Stan. Trying to picture that rig, sounds superb.
