^this guy knows how to eBay.
Hot damn that's a great cardigan. Good stuff, Walker.
/\ that sweater looks deluxe Walker, very good acquisition, wear it in good health,
last night I was going through some clothes and I found that very shirt, in its wrapping paper with tags ... I've never worn it but I'll bust it out this week, I saw it and said damn what I am I waiting for at this point?
then as chance would have it here comes old Johnny Lee Walker wearing my/our shirt
I don't have any chunky cardies but the gray marl is just right with that shirt, I would endeavor to approximate the combo as best I could with my gray lambswools and Shetland crewnecks
interestingly enough in the same box of goodies was a pair of vintage US 505s, which I also accessioned as I prepare to give my current beater 501s a hell of an annual wash and dry
because the Brooks shirt is actually in a summery broadcloth and it's slated to be cool this week I'll be wearing a USA oxford bd in a white/red/green/yellow Christmas plaid instead but the NOS Brooks in the above pic will debut shortly
good inspirations
/\ I found a pair of red tag 505s in a washing machine at school, back when all Levi's were made in the USA, I left them there, when I went back a week later they were there on the floor of the laundry room next to the washing machine ... I nabbed 'em ... definitely
I have two pairs of USA 505s, one red tag, one orange, love them both, they fit me fine in the thigh, they don't get baggy like my weathered 501s but I like baggy jeans
in fact today I'm in full shoegaze mode with a pair of baggy straight-leg jeans I got 10 or 12 years ago from a now-defunct hardware store that also used to carry the good farm boots so essential to the 1969-71 rustic hippie Ivy look, I bought the boots but they were way too nice for farming, I should have gotten two pairs, because the boot company also went out of business
and the one and only time I saw an NOS pair on eBay I spaced and somebody else BIN'd them, that one hurt
my baggy jeans, an own-vintage Puma long-sleeved t-shirt in black and white, and a pair of Incontinence pants New York SPZLs
it's a hybrid casual, hip-hop, shoegaze deal but the jeans are rural hardware store Ivy and my hippie belt is from England and it's 20 years old, pure Kiln House style
/\ trying to get away with no socks in sub-freezing weather was such a rookie mistake for me when I was 17 but this dude's no rookie! hardcore something but no rook.
but all it took was some raggs and I could continue to wear the blucher mocs and Top-Sider kudu captain oxfords all winter long
ragg socks for Christmas everyone
A+ Patrick, I may be from Maine but I don't have those balls...
I've been en route to various places for the last few days, final destination New Mexico... I wish that planes still operated the way they did in the 1940s, like a flying bus making stops every couple hours... But alas...
I've been wearing the same brown tweed Southwick jacket for the last three days, with khakis and penny loafers... Rotating cast of supporting characters including blue and candy striped OCBDs, a Pisces emblematic tie, and a battered dark green Shetland courtesy of Ye Olde Brookes Brotheres...
Lots of fun stuff planned, Christmas ties and all... Stay tuned...
I like Wigwam El Pine socks and my current crop is getting a little, well, raggy.
Hahaha that's actually not too far off.
Leer, LeeLo, BB and Walker - some great style work by you all and plenty of inspiration on this page.
Walker- Madras under heavy winter knitwear looks cool. Breaking the law, breaking the law.
Best wishes for 2019.
