Alexanders are doing a 10% Discount and free UK delivery on all ready to wear orders placed this weekend. Has anyone tried their chinos? I was tempted until I read the description
worn high but below natural waist, that’s a contradiction of terms isn’t it?

^ Their own chinos fit like Dockers D-1's, sit below the waist with a full leg.
Not great, my made to measures should be with me next week so will report back (with the screenshot of what I ordered for reference).
The 5 pockets I ordered (based on those LVC Bedfords) came back great, quality is high street not high end but at just under £40 a pair I can't complain.
I bought 2 pairs of MTM cords from Alexanders. More fool me. The first pair were ok but they started to fall apart around the watch pocket after a few wears. Despite that and reading a post from Woof where they did him over I still got another pair made. They were so keen to get them right they sent me a rough draft which were indeed fine. But the finished article were several inches tighter on the waist. Meaning I still have them somewhere. Unworn.
From then on I've stuck to O'Connell's. Not cheap and they usually need a taper but at least they're quality.
However here in the tropics cords are the last thing I need ha ha ha.

Caveat emptor in other words.
Got to agree with Yuka. I got a pair of their Bedford cords, the colour of which was awful. I tried dying them, with unsuccessful results, but it didn't really matter, because after a couple of months the waist button came off and the material had aged so badly that I relegated them to gardening trousers.
Thanks guys. Not exactly inspiring confidence. Bugger.
