just briefly to get back on topic:
this week I had the front right pocket of an ancient pair of J. Press navy poplin poly/cotton walk shorts from '03/'04 repaired very nicely by one of the alterations guys
they were in the bottom of a drawer and had been for years
these walk shorts have been fixed many times by me and different alterations people
I have a fresh pair and an unworn spare but now I can get back to my old favorite pair that are completely broken in
I also have a pair of Brooks all-cotton walk shorts from '03, they're still in great shape because the Press poplins got all the wear
now I have another good excuse to duck out of the Adid@s shorts on occasion
