do I still have an alma mater?
It's too late, for me.
Not at all. One has an alma mater if one has attended a university -- at least according to the development office.

Many notable intellectuals have had this experience.
V,
Were these 3 universities in the US? It is only that I am curious.
I quit a graduate study program, if that is any comfort.
Academia, in and of itself, is highly overrated. Most students stop learning shortly after leaving campus and the gifted people are bored by the process.
You could always adopt your wife's University.
Just be careful, I know someone who waxes so philosophic about his wife's University, you would think he went there.
I love walking out of 'good' jobs and hard to get into universities.
People may not be sad to see me go, but it always makes me happy...
Most REAL education takes place when you are following your interests along with like-minded friends. IMHO.
Oh for a true University of Life - Clothes, Music, Friendship, Love!

(Blimey I've had a good lunch) ;-)
Does Astoria have a community college?
