Some good frat Ivy in this clip of the awful film adaptation of Richard Farina's Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me

I just recently saw Jim Rockford in ‘Marlowe’ which was the film version of ‘The Little Sister’ and includes Brilice Lee in his first role. It’s hpdated to the sixties from the traditional Chandleresque forties film noir period, and Marlowe wears a herringbone sports jacket, button down shirt and repp stripe tie. Also a tan cotton suit and a different grey sports jacket later.
Not ‘unexpected’ given the setting, but some solid Ivy on display in Le Mans ‘66 (or Ford vs Ferrari if you’re Stateside). The Ford execs look a little too ‘MadMen’, but Christian Bale and his young son rock some decent causal getups.
Clothing aside, it’s a great film.

It's on my to-see list CH, glad to hear it's good...
I like Downhill Racer even though Redford's character is not terribly likeable
I actually read the novel a couple of years ago when I found a free paperback copy, there may have been a single mention of Ivy clothing in it
I preferred the sequel: Uphill Gardener.
