Oscar PEterson dead at 82,

What's Tradder than Mr. Peterson.

I learned of this around 4 PM today, anbd almost immediately began crying. I cannot aritculate what Oscar meant to me. Absolute genius, absolute virtuoso. As I have told my theratpist, there were times that I wanted to hurt myself, and the only thing that saved me was the majesty of the Oscar Peterson Trio's music...NHOP, Oscar, Max Roach. Talk about the stuff you hear in heaven.

Lvovve you Oscar,
Conne

Re: Oscar PEterson dead at 82,

Check out the underappreciated Oscar Peterson Trio + Clark Terry, as well as the several Oscar Peterson + Joe Pass sessions on Mercury and Pablo, respectively. A melodic Art Tatum, if you will.

Re: Oscar PEterson dead at 82,

Oscar was indeed a dapper fellow. Also gotta admire a man who goes on the road for 70 years for the love of music.
