Walkover shoes... navy raincoats... have we had this before? Probably but not to worry. I did like Walkover but my feet must have grown whilst wearing them... ouch... My battered old Jarman Regencies are still going strong... What a shoe...
I SPY FOR THE FBI, Jamo Thomas. Recall dancing to this in my teens at a Liverpool University 60s soul disco. I recall the allure of undergrad hotties gyrating to this charming Motown stomper. And Walkover did an FBI shoe! True. Well that's what JS called them. Austere 2-eyelet lace up, with a stitched top panel, a bit like the original Jam shoe, in black or brown grain leather. Very American but marginal Ivy I guess.
They were quite a frumpy shoe, true, possibly marginal, yes, but I did like them.
Jamo Thomas - great fun. 1966 was perhaps the peak year for all that Bond/Man From UNCLE/spy/cop craziness. Watched a few of the original 'Mission Impossible' episodes two to three years ago. Great looking women - and more. What was the name of the black actor who played - Barney? 'TMFU' was pretty bad. Massive at the time, though, with girls going bonkers over Ilya.
I believe Walkover brogues shrink with age. Which is very annoying.
