'Kicked Back-Pared Down'

Just reading about the quintessential Ivy League three-piece suit.  I once had one.  Then - about some of the gentlemen who were at Russell Street: duly admired by the late Mr. F-M for their considered dressing.  Same over in Richmond.  This is much on my psychotic mind.  Jeff G and Kenny L maybe went for this more than The Guv'nor.  We're talking about clothing you'd barely notice.  Then you look sideways.  And there it is.  That sweet combination of navy polo shirt with jeans and bucks.  Or RL with shorts and white Sebago.  Work wear - but well-chosen for the setting, you see.  Or maybe you don't see.

Re: 'Kicked Back-Pared Down'

'Always the step backwards'.  Sound advice from JFM's Ivy mentors, one of whom gave me his time in discussing colour and, thus, presentation.  For I'll lay money on not a single one of you throwing open his wardrobe and selecting even a shirt without a fair bit of pondering.  This, anyway, in the UK.  An American, brought up or still used to, the style, might do it differently.  But, like Andy Warhol, I wouldn't mind a hundred Brooks white shirts.
