Can anyone bear it any longer? The Burberry (s) house check screamed at me today from every corner of a 'vintage' shop. The fly-fronted job I had my eye on (seller offered to reduce it from £80 to £60 - I think he needed to buy his lunchtime sandwich) had a check I hadn't seen before, in the lower third of the coat only. Seller said his average buyer was very eager to show off the notorious check and that the coats flew out the door. I ask you, can anyone bear it any longer?
I'm sure you must have a Burberry check baseball cap that you enjoy sporting for a Saturday night out with the lads.
I initially thought the thread was about Kafka. His books aren't that bad.
Grin... I find Kafka pretty hard-going. Like many of the authors I tackled in my youth: Sartre, Camus, Burroughs, Beckett etc. etc. I'll probably re-read 'The Good Soldier Schweik' over the next few weeks. A great favourite.
Actually the Trial is pretty good.
Can I speak up for Metamorphosis and Amerika too? What a Check...
