Hi everyone.
Just thought i`d flag this online store up as a heads up for anyone here who`s disposed to the English country Gentleman style, or look. Just another option perhaps...

(My apologies to anyone who is already aware of this shop).
About six years ago they made me a traditional `English Country Gentleman (!)` (what me...!?) style three piece tweed suit, with matching tweed cap.
-Three button Hacking jacket ; English fitted & very pronounced suppressed waist, slanting bottom pockets with flaps, matching tweed waistcoat and very slim plain front matching tweed trousers (button-fly),and matching tweed `Gatsby` (8 -piece ) cap. Trousers were with no break so i could show a bit of sock even when walking(!).Jacket was also possibly made with `working cuffs` though i need to check.(I live in Cyprus now and alot of my `old` clobber is still in London...)
`Hello Squire` indeed...(!)
You just tell them them your own individual instructions. You can visit the shop and choose the particular tweed you want from extensive swatches they keep .They`ll measure you up in-house.I chose a particular tweed with a light blue and green tweed mix (lovat-ish perhaps though probably blue-er...) and with a dark brown windowpane check. Although they`re round the corner from Kings Road, and Sloane Square their prices were or indeed they used to be really reasonable.( I think my 3 piece tweed suit and the cap came to around 450 or 500 quid or something like that ...).
I used to wear the above with a dark brown Johnstons cashmere poloneck (rollneck), brown (and gold) silk paisley print Crombie hanky in the top pocket, fine ribbed wool ox-blood colour socks and C & J chestnut `Connaught`s` completing the ensemble.
They are very Sloaney here.I think most of their business is done with local denizens and habitues of Chelsea. But that said they are polite, friendly, (albeit in that peculiarly aloof `Sloaney` way) gracious, and very obliging.

i can just see this being worn with gauntlet gloves on a vintage motorbike somehow...
They`ve also got a selection of their own cotton cord jeans and needlecord trousers...May be worth having a gander...
Thanks for that link -- no end of amusing selections!
OB was very popular with the chaps from the nearby Chelsea Barracks:

End of an era.
Thanks for the link. Their trousers look interesting, especially their jeans.

That`s brilliant!
Yes, The driftwood does look a nice relaxed and cool colour. 100% brushed cotton sounds good too...
The quality will be there with OB.I usually like to buy American made clothing. It just seems more relaxed in it`s styling but i might even make an exception and go with OB for jeans with some texture or for needlecord trousers. Some uncommonly good colours as you say ... And some good, decent texture action!
Hi jesmond, received the Oliver Brown "jeans" today and think they're very cool. They're not denim, but a nice brushed cotton in a rich, chocolate brown color, although designed and cut like jeans with 5 pockets and a jeans-type hem. Excellent fit for me, high-waisted and slim cut, like a classic pair of English trousers. In this regard, they come closest to my favorite American jeans. Will look especialy nice with chukkas and chelsea boots. Thanks for the lead.
