I got myself a ‘mountain parka’ from uniqlo a few years ago but I’ve finally decided to bin it because it’s neither wind proof or waterproof.
Any idea where I can get it something similar but does it’s job? Thought there would be Japanese or Scandinavian companies doing them but couldn’t find anything I liked.
Georgie,
The Penfield Kasson is a popular choice:

I have an old Woolrich 60/40 which does a pretty good job of keeping the wind and rain at bay. Many of the chaps on here have 60/40's by LL Bean/Sierra Designs etc.

Congratulations on your new addition to the family GeorgieBoy, anytime you can drop in we'll be happy to see you
The old 60/40s are great for light rain and if the weather isn't really cold however be aware that once it really starts pouring the rain goes straight through them.
As a practical anorak/parka for casual winter walks and outdoor mooching, I'm quite taken with this Mountain Parka that North Face have just released. It's deliberately styled on the classic Holubar/Sierra Designs 60/40 parkas, but it's winter weight with a quilted lining. It's available in orange so if worn with a navy watch cap it would take you straight into the hunting scenes in The Deerhunter.

I tried one on in the North Face shop in Kingston and was really impressed with it, I imagine that I was also mistaken for De Niro several times. Mrs Woof mooting it as a possible Christmas present, but mindful of my bulging coat rail I'm soft pedalling on this at the moment.
Woof, the L.L.Bean USA-made snow parkas with the optional skirt are worth considering. The skirt can be lowered to protect the crotch region. I wore one during the winter of 2011. Very snug.
Can you restrict chat about wearing snug skirts to PMs please.
It doesn’t make you a bad person Yuca.
Just to steer this away from 'gay interest', I well remember the trawling I did on Ebay for one of those yellow slickers you see in the pages of 'Take Ivy'. I think Staceyboy may also have had a hankering after one. I found one eventually but then rarely wore it, going instead for a lightweight navy blue Sebago jacket - which has had plenty of use. Not much use for a sharp English winter, though. Aren't there some padded jackets coming into Chiltern Street? They had a bad reputation about twenty five years ago, when the fake Lacoste/Burberrys' crowd got onto them.
