Is there any lining in the collar or placket? Not that I'd complain too much for £49...
No...is the answer ^
There is a lot of stock in there. They have some nice Gloveralls (not just duffles) which were factory samples, if you are in the market for a winter coat, plus some interesting vintage items.
Thanks.
What size did you buy Woof, and how's the sizing in general?
Can you tell us the measurements of your size - p2p etc.... If you don't mind?
/\ Thee Captain is your great uncle?
The bright boys here will have seen all of those checks before - Remember where ?
J.Press also used to use the same source on and off.
Real Indian Madras, although not bleeding.
Fine fabrics. The difference in styling details are why you might buy your Madras from JS or JP rather than Landsend in the US.
And each comes at a very different price point.
- I like the Mardas under a Shetland look that Chris Hardy of Hardy & Johnson turned me on to a while back. Just add Cords & Loafers.
I like 1,3 and 4. I would be tempted to do some Ivy DIY and make them short sleeved.
Price-point looks very attractive.
I picked one of these up Friday and post wash...an XXL still does up nicely....for the larger Biffa's on here... worn unbuttoned of course cos I'm a hoho!!!
He's got Goodwear Ts in.... the best heavy duty white T out there for me ( with pocket......FANTASTICO!!!!)
Their grey sweats look great value too - massive rib n cuffs....luverly!!
Also some tremendous basic wool jackets in an old Woolrich/pendy/Filson stylee - which I slapped a deposit on.... collar sits just poifect kids....poifect I TELLS YA?!?!?

See - the Beauty of John's...ALWAYS something going on there apart from the bleedin' obvious....
Post-haddock and satsuma (diet has begun; been taking Yuca's selfless advice over this) I did a quick Madras/Ebay scan before doing the dishes. Quite an exciting life I live up here in the frozen north, I don't mind telling you.
Did anyone who posts here have on a short sleeved JS Madras? (On Ebay, that is). There were two - but one had gone on as 'John Sinons'. Whoops. Anyway, it seemed a decent buy for £30.
I bought a JS long sleeved Madras some time ago and I tried a few on in the shop because the sizing was all over the place. Some large ones were small and small were large. Make sure you check the dimensions.
Thanks for the tip, Robbie. It was listed as XL, my current size. The other was medium. Fingers crossed.
Chap who sold the shirt is a former poster on here. No idea who, though.
Should be ok size wise then
