Unstructured J Press Herringbone Jacket

Anyone know anything about these? J Press do sell Keydge jackets but this doesn't look like one.

^ that looks very interesting woof, I'd also like to know more.

Worth having a browse of the 70% off sale section, a 'glen plaid' sack suit for under $200 and some Presidential line jackets for about the same price.

I've been very tardy this year with the sales this year, but your prompt to that jacket has got me hooked into the 70% off section big_smile

Woof

Yeah - i got the email this morning. I tried that on last time i was at Press and they are indeed fantastic.

BTW - York St. Is having a crazy sale on Shaggy Dogs for $61. There's hardly anything left on smaller sizes but for the larger man these Shaggys are a real steal.

Looks pretty good to me.  I notice it's a linen / wool blend, and it looks rather lightweight for a herringbone.

I thought it looked a bit flimsy in the picture.

You're probably correct.  Well, probably not summer here where I am.  Haha.  I could definitely see it as a spring jacket.  I guess I'm just used to seeing herringbone on a substantial jacket.

They seem to have more than just the herringbone in that style - a smart navy too. Italian made.

Re: Unstructured J Press Herringbone Jacket

I've ordered one of their shirt jackets in the 75% sale.  I'm taking a bit of a gamble on the size and from the picture it also seems to have a big piece of fabric at the back which may be a giant ugly pocket, so this could all go disastrously wrong.

Re: Unstructured J Press Herringbone Jacket

I'm guessing this must be the jacket I had, bought from Chiltern Street in the summer of 2012.  A nice piece but I outgrew virtually everything the following year.  At least as good as my Keydge.  The last Press item I ever bought before returning, finally, to Brooks.
