Re: WHY are you wearing...?

Still learning but....trying for old money look today:

Old brown bluchers, highly polished.
New navy socks, new blue oxford boxers.
Older LLBean chinos, cuffed and slightly frayed.
New tattersal shirt in rust/brown/green on ivory background.
New navy lambswool sweater vest, Macy's house brand.
Old no name brown belt.

Actually I don't know if this is old money or not, it's not real important as this is very comfortable.

Re: WHY are you wearing...?

Down in Oxford for a quick meet-up this morning -

J. Press Mid-Grey Worsted two piece suit, late 80's (This stuff LASTS!). 3/2 'Tipped' lapel line. Flat fronts. 1.5" cuffs done in England as I recall. A much softer 'natural' shoulder than we now see.
Brooks Blue/White Candy stripe OCBD & old Brooks knit tie in dark, dark Blue.
Black Sebby Caymans (with that row of stitching which seems to make them look somehow much more casual than the Cayman IIs.) with plain  Charcoal wool socks.

Also:

A
Plain
Black
Belt.

Shorty Vintage 'London Fog' mac from the late 'Flip' on Longacre over the top & a Black brolly from Brigg's.

Plain Dark-faced RTL watch on a plain Olive RTL G10 strap.

Now you tell me - Is that "Mod" or "Trad"?

wink

Re: WHY are you wearing...?

Sand desert boots (first day on, test driving. Feels like wearing bedroom slippers).
Light blue socks (only clean ones I found this morning).
Dark jeans (been wearing for the last 10 days to break in - another pair of ultra plain cheapo H&M STFs, gone down a size in the waist this time).
Brown belt.
White pilot shirt (slim to fit under cardie)
Midnight green cotton cardigan.
Near-black corduroy sports (suit-) jacket. Warm for outdoor ciggy breaks + valuable pocket-room.
