Just reminded... candy stripe... university stripe... Not all stripes work in shirts. These do, superlatively. I've seen a couple recently but one was Tommy, the other, er, Next or something. I couldn't. I simply couldn't.
Just picked up a Tommy uni stripe. Mint green with white stripe. Nice big collar. Great ‘billowing’ fit. Probably 90’s/early 2000’s. Certainly pre any slim fit trend. £1 charity job so could afford to toss it if not a success. But I’m well pleased
I’m looking for good corduroy pants. I’d like them in a five pocket style.
Mmm... O'Connell's? Never owned any (shipping etc. - ouch), but they do seem well thought of. The last pair of cords I bought were L.L.Bean. Before that, Bill's: chocolate corduroy but unsatisfactory. Before that, Paul Stuart. But you might try Chiltern Street. Are those Japanese cords five pocket?
I know this will have been covered before. Probably a few times over the years. But things change, so can anyone recommend anywhere in the Uk that currently does grey wool trousers near enough (I’m not expecting miracles) to the classic ivy flannel style for our tastes?
In a bid to rely less on jeans in winter I’ve picked up a few but nothing that quite hits the mark. Nothing I’d wear to the Ivy League Christmas party.
I need some good 5 pocket cords and a boardshirt. And Spendthrift if you find the flannel trousers, let us all know.
Dressing for the Ivy League Christmas party could be a problem for me. All my good stuff is now old
Those FOB cords looked very nice, but Gbp 165 is a bit rich for me, but then again.... Chiltern Fire Station for the Ivy Christmas party , per head about the same as FOB cords I’d reckon, hehe
