Gentlemen, we're happy to have you aboard! WIL, Spendthrift, Alvey. Viva!
Many thanks.
I have followed the forum for many years.
I didn't realise how much I enjoyed reading it until it was taken down.
A few years ago I was convalescing at home and went back to the first topics and gradually worked my way through the forum adding books and film recommendations as I went.
It really has been an eye opener that there's so many people out there with similar tastes.
Where you lead, others will certainly follow. This is perhaps the only Ivy League forum in the known world.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I can only echo AlveySinger. Checking into Talk Ivy became part of my daily routine, without ever thinking of contributing myself. I’ve been inspired so many times by various posts over the years and look forward to joining in for a long while yet
Welcome aboard fellas.
A warm welcome to all new posters, and all the old ones who've made their way back.
Eighty five views so far. What do they have to lose? We don't bite. We suck but we don't bite.
^ A lame attempt at humour.
We're up to 125 views. I can't make out whether they're nervous, contemptuous, quite happy as they are or buyers-into the Twitter/Weller/anything goes mindset.
As Kenneth Williams might not have said, stop lurking around...
Seriously, there is plenty going on here now after a quiet period. Posters seem a lot more content. Woof, what do you think?
Welcome back to … The Absintheist.
Has anyone ever tried it?
It‘s a nice surprise to find the forum to be back and running. Nearly didn‘t know what to do with my free time…
Yes, here we are, pretty active once again, and with some excellent new members.
Welcome back Oxford Cloth Button Down glad you are about.
Thirded.
And fourthed. I look forward to OCBD being able to post pictures of what he is wearing. Always an inspiration.
Whatever happened to the cool chap with the pouty lips and the retro TV in the background? Wore some great 60s Ivy. Good eyeglass frames. And Harpo? Who were these people?
Right. And Harpo was (probably still is) Gareth, an archivist in mid-Wales.
