I watched a signed Gerry Mulligan programme for 1957 (or 1958 - one or the other) sell for £41 the other evening.  I picked up a 'Carnegie Hall' for £4.50 a few minutes later.  A trawl for Ella Fitzgerald last night threw up the Mulligan (unsigned) and a nice MJQ.  Just paid for those.  But all nice bits of jazz history for those who might be interested, like Alvey.
