^ Sorry, should have looked closer. The soles and heels seem to be on par with Cheaney or Church's. So perhaps they are as expensive as those, even as Paraboot.

^^ The overall sense I get from looking at those photos is the same as the Church's Wesley I was looking at last week. Good but some half-assed details that bring them down. But I imagine the Paraboot shoes are much more affordable than Church's or Crockett, or whatever others spring to mind.

Note the channel groove for the welt stitching: it's really wide and shallow, which is not high-end.
Note the nails in the heel: the leather is puckered up around the nails.
Note the uppers: the moc stitching around the toe is very uneven and not trimmed down close to the stitching.
Solid shoes, but I think the details make them middle-rank rather than high-end.
But my point, I wish we could get styling like this in cheaper shoes.
There is no reason why Alden or Allen Edmonds can't copy some designs from Edward Green, for example.
They will never be as good, but at least they would look less frumpy and more "international" in style.

There is no point to this message, except to say that Paraboot are sold at BHV, the French equiv. of Sears. Except higher quality or what Sears & Roebuck used to be.
My wife picked up some of the loafers. I don't remember how much they were maybe E200 or so. She likes them and they seem very durable.
