The Idea Of A Corduroy Sweater

This did not come to me in a vision but in an online description of what a certain jazz pianist (female) happened to be wearing (over a plain white blouse) while giving a performance.
Today, at this moment, because it's warm, I'm wearing a cotton cable-knit sweater over a white Brooks shirt.  The idea of a corduroy sweater has a certain appeal - but, for a male, does such an item exist?  If not, why not?  If one can wear a corduroy shirt (popover or otherwise) why not a v-neck sweater?  Moss green, navy, possibly mustard.  Even black.
Opinions?

No-one seems to fancy the idea.

Re: The Idea Of A Corduroy Sweater

Such a thing exists! In crew form at least. A.P.C do them. Only 56% cotton though. So calling it corduroy as I understand it is debatable.

Like denim or moleskin, I can’t see how such a thing can work as a jumper without having a huge amount of stretch added. Unless it was some big and baggy pseudo boho artist style thing?

I feel constricted enough in a light cotton pop/pullover

Spendthrift, good point.  I have not seen a photograph of the lady in question so have no idea of how it worked for her.
