Note Skinhead reference.....
... If we can trick the Trads into thinking that Donkey Jackets are Ivy League items can we get them all into Docs next?
I'd actually like a Donkey Jacket now after all this...
Mine would be a bit poncey (natch): Melton Wool, fly fronted, no shoulder panals, patch & flap with upper patch, very dark blue, hooked vent, soft Raglan shoulders...
They'd kick the **** out of me down T'Pit -
... And quite right too!

Poor old Michael Foot:
The donkey jacket is regarded as typical of the British manual worker. It is also favoured by traditionalist skinheads. Former British Labour Party leader Michael Foot was pilloried for supposedly wearing a donkey jacket at a remembrance day wreath laying ceremony, and he was shown wearing one on several covers of the satirical magazine Private Eye; it was in actuality a "very expensive short overcoat" chosen by his wife.
Perhaps it's time for an FNB Donkey Jacket...Neopolitan of course...now that's what I call Sprezzatura...:cool
