Take It Or Leave It: The Madras Tie

For myself - take it.  I'm certain Richard Press would approve.  So might TRS.  That might constitute some kind of victory, however fleeting its presence in this unstable Ivy universe.
But don't they run expensive, unlike that nice Rooster item on Ebay which I'd buy if the bugger wasn't so damaged.

Oh yes I'm all over this. I like a drip of plaid around my neck, be it a wool tartan or a summer madras. At the height of  'The 2010s Ivy Boom', around 2010-12, Uniqlo did some delightful plaids in a range of patterns in pleasing early 60s 1.5 inch widths. I bought a truck load and find they brighten up the drabbest of combos.

Yes. With blazer, white shirt, chinos, and dirty bucks. Impossible to mess this up.

Well, not impossible. If you had a spread collar skinny shirt, skinny pants and super-pointy Bandaid shoes -- and a Madras tie -- you'd look like a wanker.

Otter : Take it easy, I'm pre-law.
Boon : I thought you were pre-med.
Otter : What's the difference?
